BTCCSquare news:

Decentralized finance protocols Morpho and DefiLlama are shifting away from Discord, citing rampant phishing attacks and operational inefficiencies. The platforms now prioritize secure alternatives like Intercom and email ticket systems—a MOVE signaling broader industry frustration with public chat platforms.

Morpho's decision to make its Discord read-only follows a surge in scam attempts targeting crypto users seeking support. DefiLlama has similarly reduced reliance on Discord, implementing live chat solutions instead. "Public servers have become security liabilities," notes Anton Cheng, a DeFi analyst tracking the trend.

The exodus reflects growing institutional priorities among major protocols. As phishing bots infest communication channels, projects increasingly view open Discord servers as incompatible with enterprise-grade security requirements.
